Ric Kasnoff

From his early days as an army photojournalist, his training at Brooks Institute of Photography and his award winning work as an entertainment industry photographer to his recent stints as the Lead Producer of online projects with such companies as VISA, CISCO and Microsoft (Encarta Encyclopedia, Africana, Atlas, Bookshelf, Terraserver etc.) and lately as Senior Director of Business Development for a Photographic software start up company and as the Executive Director of the Blue Earth alliance (http://www.blueearth.org) Ric has immersed himself in the art, science and business of photography.

For the past 6 years he has turned his artistic eye towards the environment with his work on ecophoto.com, a collection of compelling fine art portraits of endangered species and habitats with the purpose of raising funds and awareness for various conservation and preservation causes.

  • Ongoing digital technology and e-business advisor to Robert Farber's "Photoworkshop.com"

He has also:

  • Been frequently featured as a speaker and panelist on "artists, copyrights and the internet"
  • Created, produced and presented (18x in 2000) the popular seminar; "Doing Business Online...a guide to the Internet for Visual Artists"
  • Created, produced and moderated "The Future of Imaging" a 2 day workshop and seminar at RIT featuring 12 imaging industry leaders and their visions of the future of Photography.
  • Served as a digital technology advisor to the NTID at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology)
  • Conceived and produced the Earth Day 2000 "Search for the Ultimate Image of Earth"
  • Produced many online special projects for companies and organizations including: Variety Magazine, The APA, The Dead Sea Scrolls etc.
